The desert is like the ocean in a lot of ways, but usually you don’t see dead stuff in the ocean. Dead things are usually food for live things.
In the desert, though, there are lots of bones. Not enough mice, I suppose. Here in Baja you see bones everywhere. In a bit of irony, you see tons of bones like these:
Clearly you can see the humerus and radius and ulna. But the bones are too light for mammals.
