… are in Seattle.
So we got the powerboat out of mothballs for the summer. Everything seems to work.
TIDEPOOL is a 1996 Bayliner 2452. Plenty of room for two adults, two kids, and two dogs for a week or two; and a great boat for two adults to explore the Salish Sea.
Two years ago we spent all of September in Desolation Sound. Even though it’s very far north, the tides that come around the north and south ends of Vancouver Island meet there. There is little tidal flow. Instead of our normal 50-55 degree water, the water is as warm as 70 degrees in Desolation in August and September. It’s truly one of the most beautiful places in the world.
Here is a time-lapse movie of that trip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3TGs7PIUJHo
