1/2 cup cornstarch
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 cup plus 4 tblsp. flour
180 g butter
Sift/mix dry ingredients together, then blend/mix butter (crumbly, mixed with a fork). (Pro tip: use frozen butter and add with a cheese grater and stir).
Press into a clean 9″ glass pie plate. NO OIL/BUTTER smear required. Smash it in with a fork, though. Really smash it.
Sprinkle more granulated sugar (or colored sugar) on top, like a decoration. Maybe a teaspoon or two.
Bake at 300F for 35 minutes, then turn off oven and let sit for 15 minutes until the edges barely brown.
Cut into squares, let cool, and serve. Yum.
